Whitstable harbour, famous for its seafood.
Whitstable
Whistable, the Isle Of Sheppey can just about be made out in the distance
Whitstable habour is somewhat spolied by this large gravel plant
Herne Bay is dominated by this bizzare structure out at sea. It's not a lighthouse or the remains of a costal fort...Herne Bay used to have a pier that was three quarters of a mile long until most of it was destroyed in a storm about 20 years ago. The very end of the pier survived along with a short section at the shore end
Herne Bay
All that is left of Herne Bay Pier. The huge warehouse like building on it is a sports centre (as well as being ugly) although the pier was very much closed when I visited.
